Back at the Board

Sorry for the silence here... got distracted, but I'm back at the key board and wanted to post a few things.

First, I was with the Men's ACTS team this morning and mentioned a book and Scripture verse as a point for prayer this week. I wanted to share that point for prayer with everyone.

The Scripture verse was from the Gospel of Mark, chapter 10, verses 46 to 52. The big question from Jesus is in verse 51: "What do you want me to do for you?"

It's a powerful question and one that Jesus wants to ask every one of us: "FrC, what do you want me to do for you?"

Here's a link to Amazon and that book that mentioned: An Ignatian Introduction to Prayer, by Father Timothy Gallagher, OVM.

Also, I was thinking about all the Saints of our Catholic tradition and I wanted to pass along a great book that I think everyone might enjoy. It's called Holiness is Always in Season, it's by Pope Benedict XVI.  I recommend it to you.

Secondly, someone forwarded on to me this great clip of an interview with the actor Mark Wahlberg.  Turns out Marky Mark's a good Catholic.  Here's a link to it on YouTube.

So, I offer these things for everyone. Stay in touch here, I'm back on the posting bandwagon.

Peace and prayers to you.

FrC
